Anyone exploring the world of wedding and engagement jewelry for the first time will want to set a price, style, material, and source baseline. But what about its ability to accommodate on your finger?
Ring sizing appears to be tailored to cause misunderstanding. A size 8 band in the United States corresponds to a size 18 in Germany and a size 57 in France. In all of those locations, it can be difficult for women to try on the ring in the shop because jewelers all over the world frequently do not keep it in stock. Brother & Sisters provides the complete range of ring sizes.
EU Size | US Size | Diameter | Circumference |

The size of your fingers varies slightly from day to day and drastically from season to season. There isn't always a "perfect fit" because hot days, salty meals, pregnancy, and arthritis all have their hands on the dial that regulates the diameter of your fingers. Even if you could find a consistent measurement for the part of the finger where the ring will rest, you still need to account for variables such as knuckles.
The easiest way to do this is to use a measuring tape. Place the measuring tape around the base of the finger, where you would like the ring to sit. Compare this measurement (inside circumference) to the chart above to determine your ring size. Alternatively, try our measurement guide.
Measure your ring size at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Make sure your hands are nice and warm. If you’re cold, your finger may be up to half a size smaller than normal. If using a measuring tape, or a ring sizer, make sure it fits comfortably enough not to slip off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle.
If buying a thicker ring we would recommend you go up a size.
We recommend using an existing ring belonging to the person you’re buying for and our measurement guide.
Working with an experienced jeweler in person is the best way to get an accurate ring size, but here are some helpful hints for at-home measurements with just a pen, a string, and a ruler. It is best to have the finger measured in the morning or afternoon to ensure that it is not abnormally swollen. After you've taken your measurements, you can use the band size chart above to determine your ring size. It's usually better to size up rather than down, but there are some advantages and disadvantages to doing so.
